Solar power plants are plants that convert sunlight into electric power. The conversion may either be direct through photovoltaic cells or indirect through concentrated solar cells. Solar power is particularly suitable for the tropics and may be deployed for remote rural electrification. The plants are available from less than 10KW and may be scaled up to over 100MW.
